National Geographic Explorer Certification for the School Librarian: Why Get Certified!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
I will share my journey of attaining my National Geographic Certification and how it has helped me become a better teacher and provided my students with greater resources. I will include other certification with which they may be more familiar. I will share a web page for the session. I will talk about ways this certification is useful in the high school classroom/media center. After providing these reasons and showing specific ways it has helped my students and enabled me to grow as an educator, I will provide some other certifications that teachers can pursue such as Common Sense Media, Google Certified Educator, Microsoft, etc.
