Feedback form is now closed.
In this interactive role-playing board game styled presentation, participants will “roll” to learn about common racial tropes, stereotypes, and biases found in popular speculative genres. Participants will “battle” the various types of damaging portrayals by learning critical evaluation questions and will discover a treasure trove of review resources for use in finding authentic diverse materials. This presentation responds to the call for more critical evaluation of popular media and speaks to how we can curate libraries to be more representative and inclusive.
