NCSLMA2020 has ended
To register for the 2020 NCSLMA conference, go to the NCSLMA website and click on the Events tab. Since our conference will be completely virtual this year, here are some things you can expect:
  • Private Facebook group for attendees. Live keynote sessions, author sessions, awards, and door prizes will be hosted in this group.
  • Exclusive access to pre-recorded videos for one year through a private page on our NCSLMA website.
  • Live sessions through Google Meet for each level of Battle of the Books.
  • General business meeting for all NCSLMA members.

Picture books--not just for the youngest readers!

In this panel, three authors talk about how their books can work with your classroom curriculum. Picture books help to teach history, biography, and empathy, as well as reading and writing. Our handout will be a list of picture books reflecting these three categories.
