NCSLMA2020 has ended
To register for the 2020 NCSLMA conference, go to the NCSLMA website and click on the Events tab. Since our conference will be completely virtual this year, here are some things you can expect:
  • Private Facebook group for attendees. Live keynote sessions, author sessions, awards, and door prizes will be hosted in this group.
  • Exclusive access to pre-recorded videos for one year through a private page on our NCSLMA website.
  • Live sessions through Google Meet for each level of Battle of the Books.
  • General business meeting for all NCSLMA members.

Students hear and read the news-stories of the day through network news, social media, and print articles. News correspondents are the StoryTellers for the digital age. How carefully do we fact-check their stories? How well do children and young adults understand the meaning behind the stories? This session reports on students and their projects using Narrative Nonfiction for Storytelling. Presentation includes photos, student work samples, and curriculum guidelines for Narrative Nonfiction projects in the classroom.
