NCSLMA2020 has ended
To register for the 2020 NCSLMA conference, go to the NCSLMA website and click on the Events tab. Since our conference will be completely virtual this year, here are some things you can expect:
  • Private Facebook group for attendees. Live keynote sessions, author sessions, awards, and door prizes will be hosted in this group.
  • Exclusive access to pre-recorded videos for one year through a private page on our NCSLMA website.
  • Live sessions through Google Meet for each level of Battle of the Books.
  • General business meeting for all NCSLMA members.

Two North Carolina award winning authors Sandra Warren (MG about U.S. WWII bomber) and Kathleen Burkinshaw (MG atomic bombing Hiroshima) discuss how they crafted a story from a subject/character close to their hearts from history so that modern classrooms can connect with emotionally even though their respective historical fiction novels are from the opposing sides of WWII.
