NCSLMA2020 has ended
To register for the 2020 NCSLMA conference, go to the NCSLMA website and click on the Events tab. Since our conference will be completely virtual this year, here are some things you can expect:
  • Private Facebook group for attendees. Live keynote sessions, author sessions, awards, and door prizes will be hosted in this group.
  • Exclusive access to pre-recorded videos for one year through a private page on our NCSLMA website.
  • Live sessions through Google Meet for each level of Battle of the Books.
  • General business meeting for all NCSLMA members.

Does low lighting equal comfort? Do I project safety? How can water make a difference? Attending multiple trauma-informed trainings and approaches directed towards classrooms let me rethink and redesign my library program. School closure became a vital test of the changes that worked beyond the four walls. A research-based presentation, with examples, will accompany an interactive discussion on how we can go from being a safe space for some to a trauma-informed space for all.
