Heather Handy Hayes is an Executive Education Consultant with Gale, a Cengage Group.  Heather earned her BA in English from James Madison University and a master of teaching with a concentration in English from Virginia Commonwealth University. As a former English literature teacher and in her role as an education consultant, Heather has a passion for ensuring that we teach the whole child, and that both the mental health and wellness and the academics of every child is fostered, nurtured, and protected—paving the way to each child’s unique path to success!

I look forward to supporting you, your teachers, and your students by providing resources that enhance daily instruction and research and that can be personalized for every level of learner. In addition to ensuring that we provide the best digital resources so that all of our students can thrive academically as they prepare for their college and career endeavors- I aim to support their mental health and wellness as well.

I am also excited about helping you advocate for your library as the library is the hub and the heart of the school-weaving together the fabric of your school community.
